Ordering Credit Reports on Someone Else

In order to obtain a credit report on an individual, you must first obtain that person's written permission. Then you will need to sign up with an authorized agent of the credit bureaus who will obtain the report for you. You cannot deal directly with the bureaus, only through one of their agents.

Some agents that are well known are the following:

US Search - Access to all publicly available records about yourself and others.
KnowX - Access to all publicly available records about yourself and others.

There are also credit scoring and evaluation services. The best known is FairIsaac.
